1. Fugakyu. Not only is it in the artsy Coolidge Corner, it has the best Japanese Food in Boston. Period. Besides the fresh sashimi, they have these delicious chicken cutlets wrapped in asparagus which you must try. Expect to spend over $ 100 for two people. The best indie movie theater I’ve been to (I’ve been to 7), Coolidge Theatre, is one block from there. 1280 Beacon St., Brookline, MA 02446. (617) 734-12682799

2. Upstairs on the Square. Great locale, next to Hah-vad in Cambridge. This is place serves French American fusion; skimp on the entree and go for their apps. Pricey as hell, $200. After dinner, take a tour through Harvard and pretend to be smart. 91 Winthrop Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. (617) 864-1933

3.Rod Dee. Skip the Boston location and go to the one in Brookline, the hometown of revolutionary Americans like John F. Kennedy or Conan O’Brien. The best thai food I’ve ever had. Their facade looks like a standard neighborhood Thai restaurant where everyone is content to order a pad thai, but the kitchen serves authentic cuisine like tom yum noodle soup and duck choo chee (gezundheit), all for about $20. 1430 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA 02446.
