Andalusia is one of Spain’s 17 autonomous communities. Situated in Southern Spain, it comprises of 8 provinces: Huelva, Sevilla, Cádiz, Córdoba, Málaga, Jaén, Granada and Almería. Have I lost you yet? Just check out this map for a visual. The cool thing about Andalusia is the amazing landscape. With the Sierra Morena mountains to the north and the Bética ranges to the south, the Atlantic Ocean on the west and Medditerrean to the east, and Africa to the south and Europe to the north, it’s an amazing merge of all beautiful things. Although, it’s still considered a more impoverished area compared to the rest of Spain, it also means that Andalusia hasn’t lost a lot of it’s rustic charm as can be seen in it’s Muslim, Islamic, Moorish, Alhambran, Spanish architecture and culture.

1. The High Speed Train (AVE): From Madrid’s central location, you can take the AVE  to Seville in 2 hours. Less, if you’re stopping in Cordoba. In December 2007, they completed the line from Madrid to Málaga.
